Purpose of Position
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to priority populations attending Sydney Sexual Health Centre consistent with SESLHD policies, procedures and standards.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic registered nurse to work within the nursing unit and with the wider multidisciplinary team of Sydney Sexual Health Centre. You will be given a high level of orientation and will be accredited to work in nurse led clinics at the centre. You will have an opportunity to work with a diverse client group attending the service for routine sexual health screening and attending with acute and chronic symptoms of sexually transmitted infections.
Sydney Hospital is ideally located in the CBD of Sydney and is close to the Domain, Botanical Gardens. Martin Place train station is a minute walk away from Sydney Hospital. Take advantage of excellent shopping, places to eat and entertainment.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

Selection Criteria
Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations To be aware of who the priority populations are attending an inner city sexual health service and an understanding why they are prioritised Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
