Are you looking for your next great workout? Look no further. This fat-burning, muscle-building plan-from the new book, The Men’s Health Diet-is exactly what you need to transform your body. It’s designed with minimum equipment requirements and maximum efficiency in mind: 10 exercises performed in a high-intensity circuit that works every muscle in your body. Instead of worrying about a goal number of reps, each set is timed so you can push yourself to reach a new personal record with each workout. This approach allows you to choose if you want to perform more reps or add more weight, putting you in control of your goals. You’ll be changing your body, strengthening your heart, and doing everything you need to supercharge your metabolism and look and live healthier than ever.

Men"s Health Workout War: Lose Pounds, Gain Muscle, Destroy Your Opponents

To reach your weight-loss goal, start a Workout War contest with your friends. Studies show that competition and financial rewards motivate people to stick to exercise and diets.

Former Los Angeles Lakers strength coach Jim Cotta presents an innovative get-in-shape program in Men’s Health Workout War that’s virtually guaranteed to help you lose weight. How? By tapping your passion for competition. By starting a “biggest loser-style” weight-loss competition with your friends and colleagues-complete with cash prizes–you’ll create fail-proof motivation to reach your fitness goals. This book features a highly effective, 60-day exercise and diet program broken up into quarters and an overtime round. Best of all, it makes fitness fun!

Basketball great Shaquille O’Neal, who penned the book’s foreword, used a “shirts off” competition against Charles Barkley on national television to spur his own body transformation, and Cotta was his weight-loss coach. That gave Cotta the idea to build a blueprint for grassroots fitness competitions, complete with multiple contest formats and advice on using social media to build excitement. Research proves that camaraderie, competition, and cash incentives are among the best ways to motivate yourself to exercise and eat healthy. Workout War shows you how to use all three to build your best body ever!

No illusions here, folks! Renowned magician, Penn Jillette, dropped a whopping 105 pounds! So how did the ‘Wizard Wars’ judge lose one-third of his body weight? Find out about Penn’s ‘extreme low-calorie’ diet here!

Penn Jillette, 60, is ready to rock a swimsuit at the beach! However, it wasn’t just about slimming down for summer that motivated the magician. In Dec. 2014, Penn had a major wakeup call when high blood pressure sent him to the hospital. And, ever since he had his health scare, Penn has been revamping his entire lifestyle and diet — without any magic!

Penn Jillette’s Weight Loss — Magician Drops 105 Pounds With Extreme Diet

Although it would have been easy for Penn to just say “Abracadabra” and let his medication improve his blood pressure, the Wizard Wars judge took his doctor’s advice to heart.

“My doctor said I needed to get my weight down, and if I brought it down 30 or 40 lbs., it would be a little easier to control. And then he said something in passing that completely blew my mind – he said, ‘If you got down to 230, you probably wouldn’t need any of the meds,’” Penn revealed to People on April 8.

Take Our Poll

With this in mind, the entertainer embarked on an extreme low-calorie diet by eating only around 1,000 calories a day and subsequently, he lost about one pound per day. Wow, for the 6’7” magician, that’s no easy feat!

As for the other health tricks up his sleeve?

“I eat unbelievable amounts of food but just very, very, very healthy food,” dished Penn, who follows the Dr. Fuhrman’s Nutritarian diet, which does not include animal products, processed grains, added sugar or salt, according to People.

Penn Jillette: My Kids Know ‘Im A Lot More Energetic’

“I could probably have a steak or a doughnut every couple of weeks, but I just haven’t felt like it. When you’re feeling as bad as I felt, and you go to feeling as good as I feel, the temptation to go back to doing what you were doing when you felt bad is not very great.”

While fans of the Penn & Teller Show will definitely notice a difference on stage, it’s his family — including, wife Emily, 49, and their kids, Moxie CrimeFighter, 9, and Zolten Penn, 8 — that is always cheering him on, even when the curtains close.

“My relationship with my children has always been wonderful – I always spend a lot of time with them, but now they know that I’m a lot more energetic,” says Penn.

Indeed, with such an incredible transformation, we have a feeling that Penn & Teller will continue to be one of the longest running shows in history! Ta-da!
