You don’t need a spider’s bite or a silver surfboard to assume the role of superhero in 2015 — all it takes is a single DVD and enough space to successfully touch your toes.
“Rivals II” champ Emily Schromm, who was named Women’s Health’s Next Fitness Star earlier this year, is finally ready to share the secrets to her much-envied (and, if you’re competing against her, much-feared) frame. In her brand-new “Body Burn” DVD series, which she earned by winning the magazine’s competition, she promises a Wonder Woman physique…if you’re willing to make the commitment.
According to the gym warrior, “gut-it-out, grit-it-out, get-it-done” techniques that target multiple muscle groups are the keys to achieving your health goals, and in the clip above, she urges her fellow ladies not to fear dumbbells.
“Try different things. That’s how you change your body, and no matter what, don’t be afraid of lifting weights,” she urges. “That’s what really, really, really gives you results.”
And if you still find yourself shying away from dead lifts and pistol squats, and are in need of some real fit-spiration, Emily’s got it in spades and urges you to commit for the greater good.
“I have moved into a new chapter of my life, and fitness did that for me,” she shares. “Finding health changed me from the inside-out. As I was getting stronger and fitter, I felt that, and I got more confident. It really changed who I was altogether.”
