Khloe’s lost 40 pounds, and she mainly credits her stepped-up workouts during the last 12 months. It’s not just about being thin. It’s about confidence, calm and inner strength.

“I definitely think the physical and the mental go hand in hand,” Khloe explained to People. “I feel so good in the gym that it [affects] the rest of my day. It’s a healthy addiction. It’s like buying your sanity!”


Khloe first got into fitness following her split from Lamar Odom. “The gym was my only refuge,” she explained to Cosmopolitan U.K.

But after Lamar’s hospitalization, Khloe’s diet and fitness routine fell by the wayside. “My stamina was affected,” she told People. “I do these drills where I’m running and I realized how out of breath I was compared to how I normally was. But I worked so hard to get there, I couldn’t lose it.”

So what are Khloe’s diet and exercise secrets? Khloe revealed that she maintains a very healthy diet, including tons of fresh fruit and veges. She works out four days a week with trainer Gunnar Peterson at the gym. She also works out by herself and drinks five liters of water per day!

“I try to work out five days a week,” Khloe told Maria Menounos. “It’s a lot, but I feel great when I do it. On the weekend I have a gym in my community. I try to do cardio. You just turn on some junk TV and you don’t realize what you’re doing, and I love that.”


“I used to not watch what I ate. I would just kind of eat whatever. I was realizing, ‘I work out all the time. What can’t I drop this weight? It’s really food. So I started dieting a little. I don’t eat dairy anymore – or I try not to, because I’m addicted to cheese!”
