The Role
Cornerstone are seeking and experienced sexual health nurse for a permanent position working in a well-established Aboriginal Medical Service in NSW. Your main responsibilities in this position will be to conduct programs which prevent and manage sexually transmissible infections and blood born viruses within the community. Your role will be 50% based in the clinic and 50% in the community, you will be heading out to schools and local facilities promoting the importance of maintaining good sexual health. It would be desired for this position that you have extensive experience working as part of an indigenous community, you will have good cultural awareness as well as a good understanding of the importance of continuous care. This position is a Monday – Friday position, which offers great work life balance
Organisation
Our client is a community funded aboriginal organisation; who pride themselves on being a part of the local community. This health service are firm believers in equal rights, they opened the facility in the hope of giving something back to the community. Services here include, but are not limited to; Public Health, Family Health, Child Health, Sexual Health, Dental, Drug and Alcohol, Mental health and GP Clinical Services.
The location
You will be located in rural NSW in a small town of around 2500 people, the town has its own airport and plenty of amenities such as; shopping, District Hospital, Youth Centre, salons and a local swimming pool. There are also activities like; tennis, lawn bowls and golf. There are plenty of restaurants to keep you entertained. And good educational opportunities for children
The Package
As the successful applicant you will be entitled to:
Total package of up to $95,000pa
Including Accommodation + Relocation. Accommodation consists of beautiful modern fully furnished houses; there is an option for a shared house or a single, which you will be able to bring your family to.
Travel expenses to meet the team prior to appointment.
The Criteria
In order to be considered for the role you must meet the following criteria:
Bachelor of Nursing
General AHPRA Registration
Sexual Health Experience
WWCC and Police check
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a strong team player
